*(Maybe the reason you started playing EU)* I've spent thousands of hours and countless days figuring out a way to be stable in EU but from what I have found in doing so every other player is different in the same but different way. General Rules: Starting out in EU is far better than it has been in the past, New players come and go everyday, mentoring is hard for the mentor and the new player, Everything is a gamble and hitting that HOF to retire is a day dream you have everyday. Hunting and the Basics for NewPlayers and OLD ( Understanding ) So let me just jump into this little guide and explain what i know works and how it has effected my life in EU. Player interactions, creatures, events and LA's are plentiful here the loot to my gathered information is more stable and friendly. I'm firstly going to say I hunt only on Calypso, My reasoning for this has been the fact that it is the main planet and my need to leave it(Minus exploring) has not come to make any other planet my home. I'm not an Uber, my highest skill in game is 29, But my knowledge of EU is not something I could put a level on. We will also look at which armor is ideal to use against a particular mob.Hey everyone, I wanted to start off by saying that I have been playing Entropia Universe since 2010 but before that 2006 back when combibos were the sweat and molisks hof'd this is both my understanding and general information of what I have so far gathered during my days currently and old in EU. In future articles we will look at various sets and see which protections they offer.
Each part of a set will have the same attack protections but those protections will vary from set to set. All Is Not EqualĮach set protects from different types of attacks. Even if it’s a small amount every PEC counts. This means that each hit is costing you money. Every time you take damage from a mob or a player in PvP your armor will decay. That does not mean you need it the first few week you hunt Punys. You only want to wear armor when you actively need the protection it provides. The same is true if you are Farming Defense Skills At Zychion Citadel. If you are Sweating you definitely do not want to be wearing armor. If you’re out hunting then you may need the added protection.
I see people waste more PED on armor than I can count. This cost gap has started to close in recent years so you don’t have to worry about starting over with a new avatar. A long time ago male armor was more expensive so many players started over with female avatars. If you have a Male avatar you must use Male. This is very self explanatory as each piece protects a different part of your body.Īrmor comes in Male and Female versions. This means that your typical set will contain a helmet, harness, arm guards, gloves, thigh guards, shin guards and foot guards. While there are exceptions most armor sets contain 7 pieces. For now let’s look at what makes a complete armor suite. We will talk about plates more in the coming week. This is again beyond the scope of this article but keep in mind that they do exist and can be helpful when you need even more protection. In addition to the standard protective suite you’re picturing there are also Armor Plates which can equipped to add more protection. This can be very important when deciding which is right for your situation. The TT value decays until it can no longer be used but the protective capacity never lessens. With Limited armor the protection is the same from the time you get it until the time you have to throw it away.

Once repaired it goes back to it’s full protective capabilities and the process starts over. UL armor will slowly provide less protection as it decays.
There is however one very large difference. In this sense it’s similar to other L or UL items in game. Unlimited can be repaired and used over and over again. Limited eventually wears out and has to be thrown away. As with most things in Entropia Armor comes in two flavors: Limited and Unlimited.
